The Crankbrothers Mallet clip-in shoe plays nice on the race track and at the bike park. Match Box

The ramped cleat box offers easy front and rear pedal entry and mud shedding. A Race Zone setback on the cleat track allows the cleat to be positioned further toward the heel for added control and stability when descending. And, the cleat box depth is carefully chosen to allow for optimal shoe-to-pedal contact, right out of the box.

Match Compound

Our mid-friction rubber compound (MC1) allows for easy pedal entry and exit and is hard enough to hold up to wear and tear. The radial lug pattern around the cleat box is designed to provide smooth release from the pedal body.

Match Outsole

The tread pattern is designed for traction off the bike. Directionally angled and spaced toe and heel lugs offer traction for hiking up or down steep terrain. The ramped toe provides walkability on steep terrain.

Great purchase, my last shoes

"Great purchase, my last shoes lasted over 5 years and these feel like they will last longer. They fit perfectly. The strap at the top is key after the BOA system. It looks sleek with the strap and provides extra for keeping the release system set (also looks more downhill). They are comfortable and feel sturdy, but not heavy. So far they have been great. Zero concerns or issues."

Sizing out

"It is quite a bummer. I am sitting in South Africa. I ordered these shoes from the United States. So they were imported. They arrived and the sizing is slightly out. For instance I am always a 11. 5. My previous writing shoes from Specialized is also this size. I took my time to carefully look at the excising chart and figure out exactly what I must order and the size were still wrong. I think crankbrothers need to update the sizing chart and make it more easy to understand. Otherwise these shoes look absolutely awesome. But I haven’t ridden them yet so I can’t give any comment there."

I was unsure if I

"I was unsure if I was going to need a 10 or 10. 5 since I have a pair of Shimano GE7’s and Adidas 510s. I decided to go with a 10 after talking to customer service and because it was the last size in the color way. The left shoe fit perfectly and after I did the double sock with toilet paper followed up with a spoon to stretch the toe box on the right it fits perfectly as well. I have put over 250 miles this past month in central Texas and have had two major crashes in the gnarley rock gardens and drops out here. After a quick wipe down they still look brand new. I have it paired with the Mallet pedals and the 0° easy release and have been loving them"
