Q&A

Do I need internals/other kit as well if I'm going to rebuild my double shot 3? Or will this take care of that as well? Thanks for your time.
Hi Brandon, The Titanium spindles will technically work with the Double Shot pedals, though we advise against it. The Double Shot pedals use the longer spindle length, and your q-factor (stance width) will decrease by 5mm's if you swap to titanium spindles. Some riders who have made this spindle swap with their Double Shots have provided us feedback that it became more difficult to clip out. You will need to use the internals in the Double Shot refresh kit if you rebuild the pedals with the titanium spindles. One other caution regarding the titanium spindles is that the plastic bushing style bearings for the Double Shots may prematurely wear into the titanium spindles. How lighter are this speendles compared to the standard ones?
Hi Sebastian, thanks for your question. The Ti spindles weigh 60 grams for the set, and the steel spindles weigh 106 grams for the set. There is a difference of 46 grams between the two spindle sets. Best Regards, Crankbrothers Rider Support
