Even in a short time, they’ve already saved my fingers a couple times in tight trees and rough trails. They’re super lightweight, easy to mount, and don’t change the feel of my bars at all. I honestly forget they’re there until they deflect something. The build quality feels solid, and there’s been zero rattling or movement. For only having them on my bike a few weeks, they’ve already proven themselves. If you want extra protection without adding bulky hardware, these are a really solid choice."

When I first installed them

"When I first installed them and started riding, they felt and looked big and awkward, but as soon as I got into the deep grass and overgrown branches, they started making a lot more sense. By the end of the first ride I didn't notice them as much and will continue to use them because the benefits outweigh the downsides. A few weeks before, I had a pine tree branch somehow apply way more front brake than I wanted and these solve that problem. All of my motos have super burly handguards, and these are just right for a velo. Give them a try if you think you need them."
