Match Box

The ramped cleat box offers easy front and rear pedal entry and mud shedding. A Race Zone setback on the cleat track allows the cleat to be positioned further toward the heel for added control and stability when descending.

Match Compound

Our mid-friction rubber compound (MC1) allows for easy pedal entry and exit and is hard enough to hold up to wear and tear. The radial lug pattern around the cleat box is designed to provide smooth release from the pedal body.

Match Outsole

The tread pattern is designed for traction off the bike. Directionally angled and spaced toe and heel lugs offer traction for hiking up or down steep terrain. The ramped toe provides walkability on steep terrain.

Premium riding shoes… uneven Velcro strap length

"Hands down, the most comfortable riding shoes. Boa and straps are great features. Did I mention they look amazing!! Minus a star because of the odd length for the Velcro straps. Left shoe strap is roughly a half-inch longer than the right shoe strap. I understand there will be some variations during manufacturing, but it’d be nice if there was better quality control was in place."

"I have tried a lot of different cycling shoes that past few years and the new Mallet BOA has been my personal favorite so far. There are a lot of good shoes out there but the Mallet BOA is top notch in everything I look for in a clip shoe. . . fit, heel cup support, adjustability, pedal interface, stiff yet compliant along with excellent pedaling and walking comfort. Hello, I have Mallet E pedals and I would like to know if your Mallet shoes are compatible with the pedals. Because I own fiveten shoes, and when my foot is behind, I can't unclip correctly. Is the size 45 too big? thank you for your reply: Hello Bibou, Thanks for your question. The pedals are compatible with any clip-in shoe that features the two-bolt mounting pattern on the bottom for the cleats. We recommend experimenting with the shim height of your cleats if you're having trouble unclipping with your FiveTen shoes; also check to ensure that the cleats are orientated correctly with the left cleat on the left shoe, and the right cleat on the right shoe.
