Nice cleats, do what they

"Nice cleats, do what they say they're going to do. I have other crank brothers cleats like this and I like the way they release."

Recently I purchased both the

"Recently I purchased both the Standard and early release cleats. I have used the standard cleats for years and love the ease of entry and release. Both pairs work great. Currently I am riding the early release with new Lake shoes and really enjoy the way they pair together. Crank Brothers has the best cleat/pedal combination with virtually no break in period compared to other pedal brands."

"I have always liked the eggbeaters. Cleats, pedals and I have never had any trouble clipping in and out regardless of how muddy my shoes, bike or trail became."

"They simply work without any drama. The brass is hard enough to provide reasonable lifespan, but soft enough to not wear out the pedal wings. Experiment with cleat shims and pedal spacers to get best action and quiet operation. Consider the separate stainless steel shoe shields to reduce sole damage."

They provide a feel and

"They provide a feel and release that cannot be replicated with steel. Sure they wear out but rather an internet b*thcn about them wearing one can be grateful that one got to ride so much that they did wear out. Also if you are doing more riding than walking and they are fitted to your shoes properly they wear out at a reasonable rate."

Q&A

is there designation for front and back on cleats?
Hi Chad, Thanks for your question. There is no designation for front and back orientation of the cleats; they can be mounted either orientation as long as you have the left cleat matched with the left shoe, and the right cleat matched with the right shoe. Regards, Crankbrothers Rider Support
Will these work with shimano pedals?
Hi Sean, thanks for your question. Crankbrothers cleats will only work with Crankbrothers pedals.
